Thursday 9th June
Amy McIntyre and Dan Russell co-founded the multi-disciplinary group Manchester Municipal Design Corporation during their MA in Design at Manchester School of Art. The corporation works on a diverse range of projects in the city from one-off events to building long term relationships with local communities and developing design identities for different clients. Since graduating MMDC regularly collaborate with Ultimate Holding Company.
Both MMDC and UHC operate out of Hotspur House in the centre of Manchester. They are currently involved in developing an experimental collaborative space on teh 4th floor of the building that spans university and professional practice. So far the space has been used for arts events, educational purposes and community engagement activities. As part of the Say Something Series Dan and Amy will introduce the Four Floor project and discuss their approach to collaboration from both a design education and community engagement perspective.
